VANCOUVER, B.C. – Mission Ready Services Inc. (TSX-V: MRS) – Mission Ready Services Inc. (“Mission Ready” or “MRSI” or the “Company”) reports the expansion of its facilities and workforce in support of recent contracts restoring Infantry Combat Equipment (“ICE”) for the Department of Defense (“DoD”). The Company’s current 10-20 Services Inc. (“10-20”) facilities are now at full capacity processing ICE under contract for the United States Marines Corps.

10-20’s Washington state and North Carolina service centers across from JBLM and Fort Bragg, respectively, are running round-the-clock, 7 days per week, to maximize capacity and ensure quick turnaround times for its clients. 10-20 is actively seeking up to 60 additional qualified personnel to carry out operations at its new facility in Barstow, California, home of Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow (“MCLB Barstow”).

Clay Williamson, President of 10-20 states, “With our recent contract successes, we have been able to expand our operations and invest in our local communities by creating jobs. Over the past thirty days, we have increased our personnel by 60% at our operational facilities in Lakewood, WA (Joint Base Lewis McChord), Fayetteville, NC (Fort Bragg) and Barstow, CA (MCLB Barstow). 10-20’s rapid growth will require continued expansion in new strategic locations over the next 24 months and we are excited for the additional employment opportunities this will create for veterans and their families.”

With a strong focus on supporting veterans and their families, 10-20 Services works with local organizations that specialize in employment opportunities for Veterans and Dependents.  “We are proud that our workforce is comprised of over 58% veterans or family members of service members (both active duty and retirees).  10-20 actively works with organizations such as the Army ACAP program,  Rally Point 6 and the Veterans Administration, to recruit qualified candidates into our organization” states CSM(R) Victor Martinez, Western Zone Manager.

10-20 will save the DoD millions by fully disinfecting and restoring ICE such as body armor, cold/wet weather clothing systems, load carrying equipment and the like. 10-20’s patented Advanced Cleaning System™ (“ACS”) and MilSpec repair system returns unserviceable equipment back to military use at an average savings of 90% of its replacement cost.  Most of this equipment would have otherwise have been disposed of or scrapped.

Mission Ready and Kappler Inc. Join International Fight Against Ebola

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Mission Ready Services Inc. (TSX-V: MRS) – Mission Ready Services Inc. (“Mission Ready” or “MRSI” or the “Company”) and its clients have joined the fight to end the Ebola Virus Disease (“EVD”) outbreak by helping prevent its spread at home and abroad. Mission Ready’s wholly owned Protect The Force (“PTF”), utilizing products and services offered through a number of its strategic partners, is aligning itself with government and non-government organizations to help facilitate the deployment of life-saving technologies to the affected zones including West Africa and the United States, protecting domestic and foreign aid workers on the front lines. According to the Center for Disease Control (“CDC”), safety protocols for those in close proximity to EVD mandates full body protection including the head and neck with no exposed skin.

One of PTF’s key clients and strategic partners, Kappler Inc., a 34-year veteran supplier of advanced pathogen-resistant hazardous material (HAZMAT) protective equipment to the military, industrial, fire and medical markets, provides a number of products that meet these requirements. Kappler’s Provent 10,000 is constructed using a breathable microporous film technology allowing moisture vapor transmission while eliminating liquid intrusion helping to combat heat stress issues, a major consideration in situations such as the current EVD crisis. Provent 10,000 can be constructed with a unique ultrasonic (sealed) seam with no sewing required and meets both the ASTM 1670 Blood penetration and ASTM 1671 Viral penetration standards making it ideal for bio-hazard protection. Kappler has committed to making a significant donation of Provent 10,000 PPE suits that will serve to protect front-line healthcare workers with National Nurses United in West Africa.

PTF’s well-established relationships with Kappler Inc. will expedite the procurement and deployment of vital life-saving products such as bio-protective garments to volunteers and health officials working with EVD-afflicted victims.

Rod Reum, President & CEO of Mission Ready states, “We are deeply saddened by the tragedy of the EVD crisis and the many families it has devastated. We feel a responsibility as a company and as individual citizens to make a difference where we can. We have made it our mission to protect those who protect us and this certainly includes the thousands of selfless healthcare workers risking their lives to save others. Mission Ready is honored to join the fight against EVD and believes it has the relationships and expertise to make a marked contribution in the battle to eradicate this epidemic.”

Protect The Force Inc. Awarded $1.4M development contract and $4.4M Option for United States Marines Next Generation Body Armor

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Mission Ready Services Inc. (TSX-V: MRS)– Mission Ready Services Inc. (“Mission Ready” or “MRSI” or the “Company”) is very pleased to announce that, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Protect The Force (“PTF”), it has been awarded a contract in the amount of $1,487,046 to perform research and development of the Marine Corps Next Generation Body Armor Architecture by the Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) under the Rapid Innovation fund R&D Effort.  The award includes an option phase exercisable by MARCORSYSCOM for the provision of $4,455,275 additional funding for the supply of project deliverables for large user evaluations. The Company has no assurance that MARCORSYSCOM will exercise the option.

The $1.4M award is part of a larger program funded through the Department of the Navy (“DoN”) Office of Naval Research (“ONR”) Rapid Innovation Fund (“RIF”). The ONR is constantly looking for innovative scientific and technological solutions to address current and future Navy and Marine Corps requirements. The goal of the RIF program is to transition innovative technologies that resolve operational challenges or save costs into DoN Acquisition programs.

Francisco J. Martinez, Chief Technology Officer states, “There is heavy competition for these type of programs, however, we had a high level of confidence in our proposal based on feedback we have received on our advanced extremity protection concepts, materials and the ability to exceed the quality and functionality criteria outlined. It is an honor for us at PTF to be able to contribute to the research and development of solutions that could enhance the protection and performance of the Marine Corps and to continue expanding into a value-added solutions-based platform for those who protect us.”

Protect The Force’s Next Generation Body Armor  also known as the Extremity Torso Protection  was developed under a 2012-2013 Broad Agency Announcement from the Army Materiel Command – Natick Soldier Research Development and Engineering Center and is based around the concept of biomimetics – the imitation of the models, systems, and elements of nature for the purpose of solving complex human problems.

One of the most elite fighting forces in the world, the United States Marine Corps is the 911 force of the United States of America. Thousands of Marines are Mission-Ready aboard naval amphibious ships to respond to an international crisis. The ability to mobilize quickly has allowed the Marines to become the United States’ ready-reaction force. Marines provide power projection from the sea, using the mobility of the US Navy to rapidly deliver combined-arms task forces. Serving on US Navy ships, protecting naval bases, guarding U.S. Embassies and providing ever-ready quick strike force to protect U.S. interests anywhere in the world, the USMC is comprised of approximately 194,000 officers and enlisted Marines and 40,000 Marine Corps reservists.

As part of the qualification process for the award, PTF was audited and approved by the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) that provides audit and financial advisory services to Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal entities responsible for acquisition and contract administration. DCAA operates under the authority, direction, and control of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller)/Chief Financial Officer.
